Happy New Year! Are you ringing in 2020 with a kitty by your side or on your lap? Your furball won’t purrticularly care what the calendar says, but that doesn’t mean she doesn’t have plans for the coming year. Below, a Salem, VA vet lists a few of the things on Fluffy’s agenda.
Master The Pounce
Kitties are never cuter than when they’re feeling playful. Your frisky feline may want to work on some of those tricky jump/pounce/roll/meow combinations this year!
Improve Napping Times
Our feline pals take their beauty naps very seriously. In fact, cats can sleep up to 20 hours a day, though most of them average a ‘mere’ 14 to 16 hours. Fluffy may want to squeeze in a bit more shuteye this year.
Help The Humans
Cats have a reputation for being aloof, but that isn’t necessarily fair. Your little furball is very appreciative of the love, care, food, treats, and toys you give her. Fluffy may try to reciprocate by offering a ‘helping’ paw with simple tasks, like changing sheets. She’ll also thoughtfully hop into your laundry basket to keep your clothes warm.
Get Some Sun
Kitties don’t actually run on solar power. However, Fluffy does love to charge her ‘catteries’ by soaking up the sun. Your pet may very well want to spend even more time in sunbeams this year!
Avoid The Vet
We know, many of our feline patients would rather take a nap than visit us. (This is often in large part because of Fluffy’s fear of car rides.) However, your cat will be much healthier—and therefore happier—with proper veterinary care. Sorry, Fluffy: it’s for your own good!
Have you ever caught your kitty sleeping on a book or magazine? Does Fluffy sometimes nap on your computer? Your furry friend may be trying to soak up material through osmosis.
Achieve World Domination
Fluffy may be small, but that doesn’t mean she has small goals. Are kitties really trying to take over the universe? Well, so far they’ve managed to take over a pretty good chunk of the internet. We’ll have to wait and see!
We suspect Fluffy won’t have a hard time meeting this goal. Cats are always super cute!
